This was the last Artistic Fashion 2 piece, jacket and trousers made from Crepe Satin for my 1st year of the Higher National Diploma in 3D Design. This same piece was exhibited in the End Of The Year MCAST 2011 Fashion Show and Exhibition and lately the ‘Notte Bianca 2011’ at The Ministry of Education.

The first inspirations came from YSL 2010 Exhibition, which took place in Marrakesh, Morocco and since I have always been attracted by the Moroccan and Arabic cultures I researched some details that helped me project more ideas. I slowly tried to interpret these characteristics into fabric and researched designers that already used similar techniques for their collections.

Other techniques used were inspired from some of the Spring Summer 2011 and Autumn Winter 2012 Fashion Week Collections from Gucci, Iris Van Herpen, Francesco Scognamiglio, Raquel Allegra and Alexandre Vauthier just to name a few. Some of these techniques were tearing, shredding, gathering, ruffles, piping and twisting.
